Start building up a client's balance sheet and enter other matter related information directly into the dashboard. This is a great option if you have an existing client and have already obtained a lot of their information and therefore don't need to start with the questionnaire. See the simple steps below:
1. Click on 'Create a matter' and enter your client's name, the other party's name, select the type of matter as Property, Parenting or both
2. Ensure to select 'Dashboard' as the option to populate the matter. Click Save
3. This matter will now appear at the top of your matter listing. Click on it to launch.
4. An empty balance sheet will be displayed. Click the 'Add' button and choose the item type as Asset, Liability, or Superannuation and complete the form. Only ownership, item type, description and proposed value need to be filled out (you don't need to define a proposed action at this point). Click Save and the item will be added to your balance sheet. Repeat this process for all items.
Add Other Matter related information
To add other matter related information such as contact information, relationship details, living arrangements, income, children etc, navigate to Matter Information > General Details in the left-hand menu and then click on desired panel that you wish to edit and a form will open for you to fill out:
Information can be entered directly into the other sections of the Matter Information in the same way.
