FamilyProperty helps you keep all attachments organised and then easily generate an index for yourself, client or other professionals. This article covers the following:

Locate and Upload Attachments
Using the Attachment Browser
To Upload a document yourself:
1. Click on the item that it relates to eg. Bank account or Income to highlight it and then click Upload
2. Browse for your file and give it a meaningful name using the Short Summary title or leave blank and the file name will be used. Click Attach
Within the Matter Dashboard

Note: if the client has access to their portal, any document you upload on their behalf will be available in their portal.
Rename, delete or re-organise attachments
- Choose Delete to remove the attachment entirely (note: the client is unable to delete any attachments they uploaded).
- Select Edit to change the properties including;
- use the ‘Short summary name’ for a more meaningful title or a numbering system. This title will be used as the main title in indexes. If left blank it defaults to the filename.
- Attach to - if the client has uploaded the attachment against the wrong item, you can reorganize by selecting the correct item from the drop-down list.
Documents for the Other Side
You can manually upload any document for the Other Side to keep all disclosure documents organised. When uploading a document either via the Attachment Browser or within the matter:
1. Tick the box Attachment is from the other side
2. Select the date it was received
3. Give it a short summary name if desired and then click Attach
Any document from the other side whether it is uploaded by you or by the other side using the Disclosure Portal, will be clearly labelled as Disclosed (by OS):
