Our two way Disclosure Portal makes it easy to securely share disclosed documents with the other side - as well as receive their documents - regardless of whether or not they are a FamilyProperty subscriber.
This article takes you through the experience for the other side and covers:
- Receiving your documents via the Disclosure Portal
- Uploading their documents into the Disclosure Portal
Receiving your documents via the Disclosure Portal
After sending the Disclosure letter or the unique link via your own email communication, the other side will:
1. Click on the unique link and receive a welcome message, where they click 'Lets get started!':
2. The Disclosure Portal will open displaying all your disclosed documents (shown below), please note:
- Your firm's logo as saved in your settings will be used instead of the FamilyProperty logo
- The other side can search or browse through the balance sheet items and other categories on the left-hand side. Balance sheet items will only be shown if you have disclosed a document against it (eg. the only asset shown below is the family home).
3. To download a complete Zip package or a disclosure index, click on Downloads in the main menu:
Uploading their documents into the Disclosure Portal
As this is a two way Disclosure Portal, the other side can upload their documents:
1. To keep documents categorised, it would be ideal if they selected the item from the left-hand menu and then click Upload;
2. However, they are most likely to just click Upload when viewing all attachments. When uploading something for the first time, the following window will appear to enter their full name and email address. Then click Submit.
3. Browse for a file or multiple files can be uploaded at once. Click Upload and confirm. Their document will now be shown in the Disclosure Portal labelled as 'Disclosed'. Note: if the document was uploaded when viewing all Attachments, it will be in the 'Uncategorised' section.
The Disclosure Portal link remains live and any new files that you make accessible in your FamilyProperty matter, will automatically appear in the Disclosure Portal for the other side when they next use their link or refresh it.
